Sruthi Muralidharan, Ph.D., is a science teacher at Ida B Wells. She grew up in India where she attended Delhi University and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics. She earned her doctorate in electrical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,  upstate New York. Muralidharan has always loved science and believes we need more diversity in the industry. She wants to show all her students that science is more than just a class they’re required to take. Muralidharan wants her students to develop critical thinking skills and leave her class having a better understanding of the world around us. Outside of school, Muralidharan enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time with her 6-year-old son, Tejas.
