Ms. Margaret Murer is passionate about music and working with teenagers, which is why becoming a choir teacher was the perfect job for her. She grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada before going to college at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and then moved to Oregon to go to Lewis and Clark College. She went on to teach for the next 30-plus years, 12 of which have been spent at Ida B. Wells High School. “My favorite part of teaching is seeing the lightbulbs of kids light up when they finally understand the material,” said Murer.
