If your document is not printing or parts of document are not showing up but other parts are there are a few solutions you may want to try. 

1) Save as image or as a PDF and then try to print

2) Save as image or PDF and save document in your drive and then try to print

Guest mode is intended for our Subs, TA's, Volunteers and PS partners only. This feature will only allow users to scan or copy. Print release is non functional. 

If you need to release a print job, please sign out of "guest" mode and then sign on with your PPS credentails. 

COVID-19 Cleaning Technology Standard Procedure

In order to insure that toner bottles and printer cartridges are recycled properly, please follow these easy steps to order Pre-Paid, labeled recycle boxes from SHARP.

 

Please insure that you do not include the toner boxes, or plastic wraps. Only the used toner bottles and cartridges should go in the box.

 

Once filled, seal box, affix Pre-Paid label and ship to SHARP.

Once you submit, Sharp will send you THREE boxes with Pre-Paid labels. You can order more once you are down to one box. It will take approximately 2-weeks for the boxes to arrive.

Please do not send empty toner bottles or printer cartridges to either IT or Publication.

 

Sign on at Sharp copier and then go to Device features. Once here then select scan or copy feature. Go to Global Address and be sure that it is looking up user based on user name not email.

Versions PPS supports: 10.11.x to 10.14.x

Google Cloud Print, Google's cloud-based printing solution will no longer be supported as of December 31, 2020. PPS will use PaperCut to take place of that operating system to ensure that all district POA copiers/printers will still be able to print. PaperCut protects confidential documents and slashes the volume of unclaimed printouts by ensuring users release print jobs at the point of printing. Also, using PaperCut is an easy way to monitor and manage copying and printing within your organization, giving you control over costs and environmental impact.

HP printers do not have a badge reader so users will need to go to papercut.pps.net and sign on with PPS credentials to release job to desired HP. This also is effective when trying to print to any Sharp. 

First time signing on please use drop down keyboard located on the front just under the screen and enter your PPS credentials. Once you have done this you may use your PPS badge to sign on from then on. If you do not have your badge you can still sign on manually.

MESD Nurses are provided a laptop through MESD. These devices do not have administrative rights and users may require assistance from MESD IT Support for adding a PPS Secure Print queue to their device. Please contact MESD IT for support.

When connecting to the print server, MESD users may be required to enter PPS\ followed by their PPS-provided username in order to log in to the print server. (ex. PPS\ajones90)

MESD staff can access copiers using the pull-down keyboard to enter their username and password to release their job or use the copier functions. Staff can also release their job through the PPS PaperCut Portal at papercut.pps.net

Ordering Supplies from POA direct
To order supplies for copiers/printers simply email - supplies10@pacificoffice.com with the ID of the device and what supplies they require and it will arrive the next day if ordered before 3:00 pm. 

Supplies can also be ordered by calling 503-641-2002. POA uses next day shipping if the order is received before 3:00 pm. If POA is not able to deliver within 48 hours they will notify the requester.

All supplies will be delivered via USPS, FedEx or UPS to that site by POA. 

Note: The Pony will no longer be sending supplies to the schools.

In order to print from your Chromebook at home, please follow the instructions below.

Staff & Students - (2 options)

1) Add the printer over the wireless connection. (Will require your printer and chromebook to be on the internet).

2) Connect your chromebook physically to a printer using a USB cable. (Printer will auto-add)

Instructions for both options

Simply click this icon on the copier at the top right of the screen.

We recommend that you use a Sharp 6070 or a Sharp 4070 copier using the pull down keyboard for the first time signing in using your PPS Badge and credentials. If no Sharp 4070 or 6070 is available to you, you can simply plug in a USB Keyboard or use the on-screen keyboard.

You can request a new ID Badge from security services by submitting a ticket to support@pps.net. In the meantime, you can login to the copier using your PPS Credentials with the pulldown or on-screen keyboard.

Where are you holding the card on the printer/confirm they are scanning correctly in the correct spot?

Is your card working to open the door at your building?

If you do not know if it is an access card, is there a series of numbers printed on the back of the card? 

At the schools, the only people who should need a new card are those who do not already have an access card at all (the back of their card will be blank- no numbers on it) or people whose cards are actually broken and do not work on the outer doors either. There are no access cards similar to the type used at the PEC that will not talk to the printers.
