Mrs. Lisa Newlyn - Principal

Lisa has worked in 国产真实迷奸 Public Schools since 1994. For the last six years, she has served as Principal at Forest Park Elementary School. The student body at Forest Park speaks 22 different languages. At Forest Park, Lisa solidified core systems school-wide while building academic and behavioral interventions and enrichment for all students. Additionally, she worked with an independent foundation and involved parents in the decision-making process to support the school. She continues to integrate equity and cultural proficiency in leading the professional learning community.

In her first 17 years in PPS, Lisa held different roles. She served as a teacher at Woodlawn, Humboldt, Hayhurst and Arleta. She was deeply involved in Title I work and was a math grant liaison. As a teacher, she focused on reading intervention, while also serving as a committee member and coordinator. She also served as a teacher mentor and organized Lego Robotics teams.

Lisa participated in the district’s aspiring administrator program and moved into administration in 2011 as an assistant principal at Beverly Cleary School before becoming Principal at Forest Park Elementary School in 2014.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Western Oregon State College, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from 国产真实迷奸 State University.

Ms. Robin Mauldin - Assistant Principal

Since 2001, Robin has worked in 国产真实迷奸 Public Schools as a classroom teacher at Woodlawn, Llewellyn and Arleta Schools.  In 2017, she moved into the role of Instructional Coach, specializing in literacy and working alongside teachers as they implemented new curriculums and practices in their classrooms.  In addition, she has served as an administrator for PPS’ Summer Acceleration Academy, a program that supports students with unfinished learning during the summer.  Even though she has worked in a variety of school settings, being in middle school is, by far, her favorite!

 

Robin is dedicated to transparent and open communication, which is essential for a thriving school community. She also believes student success is a shared responsibility and we must hold ourselves and each other accountable when working towards our common goals.  Finally, she believes in the power of community to transform schools into vibrant learning spaces that are supportive, inclusive, academically challenging and filled with joy.
