    • Abernethy Auction
This activity is for adults only!! Our annual fundraising event is an opportunity for the parents, teachers, and friends of Abernethy to get together socially, and benefit the school by bidding on goods and services which have been donated to the auction. It's not only a really fun evening but also Abernethy's most successful fundraiser.
    • PTA Fundraising Event
    • School Carnival
The school carnival is a fun and much-anticipated annual event. The Carnival is organized by Abernethy parent volunteers, and the actual event is staffed by all the members of the Abernethy Community -- teachers, administrators, staff, parents, and neighbors. The Carnival has great activities, games, and prizes. While the Carnival is not budgeted as a "fund-raiser", it often raises more money that it spends. In year's past, the carnival has donated funds to purchase new PE equipment and instruments for the Music Program.
    • Field Day
Each Spring students participate in non-competitive, athletically challenging Field Day activities for Abernethy students. The students are grouped into mixed-age "teams", where the older kids help out the younger students at the various activity centers. Field Day challenges can include everything from relay races to ball-kicking to basketball hoop, to hopscotch! The parents and teachers assist at each of the stations, and there are treats at the end of the day to reward everybody for their efforts.
