Lisa Riffel is in her fourth year teaching choral music at Lincoln High School, and eighth year of teaching.  She teaches the Freshman Leadership & Inquiry Choir, Cardinal Choir, Chamber Choir, and West Sylvan Middle School Choir. After teaching elementary music in Glendale, California, she decided to further her education and moved to Oregon to study with Dr. Ethan Sperry at 国产真实迷奸 State Univeristy where she received a masters of music in choral conducting.  While studying at PSU, she served as the Music Education Graduate Teaching Assistant under the guidance of Debra Glaze and taught a variety of university music classes including Intro to Conducting, Choir, Fundamentals of Music, and K-12 Vocal Techniques.  

Lisa is passionate about choral music both as a conductor/teacher, and also as a singer.  She sang in the award winning and internationally acclaimed 国产真实迷奸 State Chamber Choir for four years and currently sings in the Oregon Repertory Singers, Trinity Episcopal Chamber Singers, and other professional choral ensembles around town.  

As a teacher, Lisa's aim is to provide the best possible musical experience for her students and use choral singing as a way to create community, beauty, and joy.

Lisa is happily married to fellow Lincoln math teacher, Andrew Riffel, and together they love to travel, hike the beautiful trails in the area, and sing.
