• Attendance During Hybrid Learning

There will be some changes with attendance beginning April 19th with the start of Hybrid Learning.

    • In the interest of student safety, we will go back to same day attendance calls to families. Autodialer will call families starting at 6:00 pm for that school day’s attendance informing them of any non attendance/participation days/periods for that day.

    • HS has a new attendance code, CIP (Check-in In Person). CIP and CS (Check-in Synch) attendance must be recorded in Synergy by the end of the contracted work day.

    • Attendance Secretaries will mark quarantined/symptomatic students with the attendance code CA for the appropriate number of days. Teachers will update to UNV (Unverified) if no asynchronous work is received and the student does not check-in with them.

    High School Attendance Codes

    • CIP (Check-in In Person): Students who are present for an in-person class; indicates the student engaged in a live, in person class meeting

    • CS (Check-in Synch): Students who are present for synchronous classes (live classes)

    • CA (Check-in Asynch): Students who complete asynchronous work (on demand;  indicates the student engaged in learning at their own pace through videos, projects, pre-recorded lectures, etc. provided by the teacher in Canvas)

    ONGOING GUIDANCE

Evidence of Attendance for Distance Learning

    3. A phone call between the teacher or EA/Paraprofessional with the student, or, for younger students, with the parent

    4. Posting completed coursework to a learning management system or web-based platform or via email

    5. Turning in complete coursework on a given day
